Futari Wagyu Named Grand Champion Export Beef at 2025 Perth Royal Food Awards
Albany, WA – 13th November 2025
Futari Wagyu has been awarded the Grand Champion Export Beef title at the 2025 Perth Royal Food Awards, one of Western Australia’s most respected celebrations of premium produce.
The recognition was presented for Futari Wagyu Grain Finished Fullblood, judged the top entry in the Branded Meats category for its exceptional marbling, flavour and tenderness.
“We’re honoured by this award,” said Peter Gilmour, Managing Director of Futari Wagyu. “It reflects the dedication of our team, the care taken across every stage of production, and the unique character of the Great Southern. From breeding to our branded Wagyu products, our goal has always been to create Wagyu that expresses both authenticity and place.”
Produced near Albany on Western Australia’s southern coast, Futari Wagyu combines fullblood Japanese genetics with the region’s cool climate and clean pastures. The result is a premium product that has earned recognition across both Australian and international markets.
The Perth Royal Food Awards, presented by the Royal Agricultural Society of WA, showcase the nation’s leading food producers and are judged on key attributes including visual appeal, tenderness, flavour and overall eating quality.
This latest accolade follows previous Perth Royal honours for Futari Wagyu across bacon, bresaola and charcuterie products, reinforcing the brand’s consistent commitment to excellence.
