Comforting Wagyu Ginger Beef Bowl

Simmered gently in a fragrant ginger-infused broth, the beef stays tender and juicy, making it a perfect topping for warm rice. Serve with fresh greens for a balanced, comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 500g thinly sliced Futari Wagyu Ginger Beef
  • ¼ cup fresh ginger, finely julienned
  • 200ml dashi stock
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • Steamed rice, for serving
  • Cooked beans, broccolini, or your preferred vegetables, for garnish

Method

  1. Prepare the Beef – If frozen, defrost your Futari Wagyu Ginger Beef in the fridge for 24 hours before cooking.
  2. Simmer the Sauce – In a small pot, combine the ginger, sugar, sake, soy sauce, and Wagyu beef. Pour in enough dashi stock to just cover the meat.
  3. Cook Gently – Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 3 minutes, or until the beef has just changed color. Avoid overcooking to keep it tender.
  4. Serve & Enjoy – Spoon the beef and broth into bowls, either over rice or on the side, and garnish with cooked beans, broccolini, or your favorite vegetables.
